...:::About:::...
This painting was derived from one of my previous paintings titled Sankofa. I had to be reminded of Sankofa which is a symbol of importance of learning from the past. In order for one to grow and prosper it is important to learn the lessons of the past.

"History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.” ~Maya Angelou

ABOUT
Here is a be-you-tiful young napptural (nappy & natural) adorned in a crown of glorious baby locs.

I have highlighted her eye by encapsulating it with a golden detail as to invite you into her soul. The detail around her eye also incorporates an ankh (the Egyptian symbol for eternal life).

The colors found here were purposely selected to invoke calm and serenity.

102 Prints

That's how many prints I gotta/need to sell. Wish me luck!

If you know anyone that may be interested in purchasing a print have them check me out. Prints can be purchased from my website http://jaishi.com/prints.html or on Etsy jaishi.etsy.com.

Thank you!!

Jaishi is expanding

I have a whole array of products that I will be introducing soon *excitement*. I'm actually getting ready for the Christmas holiday now. This year I have learned that you have to start in June.

It's weird to paint wintery scenes during the summer, lol.

At anyrate, I have these new products from my last few paintings in my Etsy shop.

Website Updated

www.jaishi.com

It felt as though it took FOREVER to complete but I finally got it "done". I put done in quotes because a website is never truly done.

I'm very excited with the way it has turned out. You now can buy prints directly from the site. Which is exciting because not everyone wants to buy via eBay or Etsy or Big Cartel, etc.

Also, I have my original paintings on there. If anyone's interested they can just inquire at their own pace.

As I was going through my task list, more and more ideas kept popping up. So once I get some paintings completed, I will return to working on the website.

Well that's what I have been up too.

There will be more to report soon!
